I live in Boston. I majored in Russian at Vassar but gave it up for a life on the stage. That's my main work these days, though I do some voice over and industrial stuff if it comes up. I also teach middle and high school theatre now and again. I have a spouse and a 9 month old child. My spouse makes more money than I do. Praise the Deck. Discovered D&D when I was in 5th grade and have been acting/role-playing ever since. Did a couple of PBM's when I had no one but myself to game with (Arizona, North Carolina and Ohio). Especially enjoyed Silverdawn, but they folded and so did my ranger. I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and ran theBoston Marathon once, but I no longer have the knees for either endeavor. I don't like coffee. I teach the birds many amazing dances that require no movement. I have RL friends who are my in-game enemies and vice nersa.

I suppose my bio at http://www.sardarthion.com/?page_id=14 is inadequate. I live in Tacoma Washington, my home since 1991, with the most beautiful, intelligent woman on planet earth. And three cats, a rabbit, and a 24-year old step son who lost his job at Microsoft. In a century-old house surrounded by an absurdly overgrown garden. Francine and I both brought two children to our marriage, all of whom are now over 18 (huzzah!). Her ex-spouses outnumber mine two to one. I've played RPGs since 1980. The gaming vibe runs much deeper than that, however. My step-father taught me to play chess on my sixth birthday. I didn't beat him until I was 17. I attended the University of Arizona in Tucson for three years, but did not graduate for reasons entirely my own fault. My major was History, with a focus on Germany and Italy in the High Middle Ages. In 2005, I was baptized. Francine and I then took a trip to Rome to see her family. It became a pilgrimage, which you can read about here: http://thomryng.com/rome/one.htmhttp://thomryng.com/rome/two.htmhttp://thomryng.com/rome/three.htmThere are some pretty good photos there, too. For the past decade I've made my living as a writer. I've done everything from technical writing to scriptwriting video tours to marketing Catholic schools. I created the worlds of Cruenti Dei because my head is full of otherwheres and otherwhens and it's getting very crowded. They want out.

Raised in Oregon but married a gal from NJ so I've spent 7 years here after she spent 3 years there. 41 years old. One five-year old son, currently working as test engineer/project lead and working on a masters in systems engineering (in the hope to finally landing a career, you know, where you do the same thing from job to job to job... ^^). Most favorite type of game is computer 4X solo (not a twitcher), but got sucked into Lords of the Earth in 1990 which led to a CD addiction. Christian, bookworm, scifi/fantasy fan, anime ex-fanatic and LOTRO MMO budding addict (I just don't have enough time to become a real full-time addict with the 20+ hours per week sort of deal, right now I limp along with 4-5 hours per week). Empire builder and probably lightly obsessive compulsive (all my regions have multiples of 10 in pwb but so many other numbers are still wrong *sigh* - my dream is to have 10s and multiples of 10s everywhere on my stat sheet... ).

I live in Charlotte NC and will turn 50 this year.
As a tax accountant for almost 25 years, I like (need) things in writing. I like numbers which would make this game boring except this game is not about numbers, it is about the dialogs. I like to read which the list of suggested reading is getting long.
I love animals and to my wife's worries, cannot let a stray go hungry. We feed mostly strays cats and a few dogs. Some skunks. Currently have 2 of 7 puppies which their stray mother was killed when they were 3 weeks old.
I never liked English classes and consider my attempts at stroytelling very elementary. But I do like to hear/read a good story.
I found my way here by looking for PBEM games after 2 others closed. I like the idea of helping create a story. Played and GM many D&D games.
I believe in diversity makes great company and that is why I like this group. Sometimes we can be saying the same thing in different ways and it seems like an arguement. I love a good debate.
My wife collects teddybears and Hemmy is her favorite.
Just some thoughts about me.

To add my spouse owns her own business/es. Her primary business is Audio and Video Engineer with major event planning. Her secondary business is a Reiki Practitioner. Suffice to say she is much more talented than I am.

Where did 'fluffy bunny' come from? Charlotte, NC Is there a glitch that changes 'fluffy bunny' to 'fluffy bunny'?

OK, that's FUNNY. Yes, the system is set up to change that particularl word to something more... harmless. I might have to tweak the settings, though.

Wow, great stuff all of you! I'm loving the spousal sub-theme and the fluffy bunny city transformation. I'm terrified at what the gremlins of sardarthion press might do with that word replacement stuff. I wonder if it happens on the post or on the read. If it's on the read, some very weird stuff could happen without messing with the data long term.
I promise to do a more significant version at some point as well.

OK.
Played D&D and other RPG's since about '78. Both the kids out on thier own. One grandson. Married for 28 years to a very wonderful and patient woman.. Worked at the same job for going on 25 years. Work in the construction sales market. Been playing LOTE for the last two years. Joined CD because I prefer the non-historical type of background. Going to hit the fifty mark this year. I have lived in Colorado my entire life and never tried skiing. Been playing a few MMO's the last few years just because of the lack of time for organized RPG get togethers.
My first try at CD and so far it's been a pleasure playing CD with all of you. Everyone has been more than willing to help educate me. Looking forward to many more turns.

I'm really loving our forum censor. I think I will try to discover interesting ways to trigger it.
I live here in the last frontier with my wife of 2 years. We have no children, but give it time. I am in retail management. Been playing "Let's pretend" since I could talk. Which slowly evolved into role playing games with actual rules in my teens.
And now for something completely different...I was given the title "Master of the Wheel of Cheese" by someone on this forum, but I won't say who.

So, it allows flax-wench and prostitute, but h-a-r-l-o-t becomes fluffy bunny. Seems to me the censor has a sense-or of humor. It also allows the four letter word for fecal matter, which I admit to testing by sending scatalogical PM's to myself.

You might notice we get a lot of googlebots here - that's generally who most of the "guests" listed under "Users Online" at the bottom of the home page are. We also used to get a large number of spammers on the boards. Many of these were porn - sometimes including some pretty graphic photos. These have largely gone away since I've started censoring some of the more sexually suggestive words and phrases. This is not a coincidence. I will continue to censor people where they don't self-censor, because frankly it's so much less time-intensive than hunting down and eradicating porn spam.
